In the case of couples, one must meet this criteria. The homes are mainly single family residences with a few duplexes. As a marketing tool, there are a few attached homes – Vacation Getaways – that are designed for prospective home buyers to enjoy Sun City living for a few days. The low-cost overnight accommodations are located near the main activity center.
Choosing this Williamson County real estate for active adults will allow a host of activities. From golfing to tennis and dancing to clubs and leisure interests, this community is the residence of many “Zoomers.” They include retirees that are generally age 55 to 65 who are a still-active part of the Baby Boom generation.
Named Best Place in America to Retire in 2007, by Retirement Places Rated (Seventh Edition), the community was originally named Sun City Georgetown, but later changed due to the many residents that were attracted here from within the state. A lower cost of living and the mild climate are two of the reason that are attributed to the attraction of this Williamson County, Texas real estate lifestyle.
For the enjoyment of residents there are three golf courses located here – Legacy Hills, Cowan Creek and White Wing. A huge central activity center provides a place for meetings, a ballroom for social events and a library. There are numerous hobby facilities that encompass dancing, ceramics, woodworking and a computer lab. The recreational activities include several swimming pools and a lake for those who like fishing. Choosing homes in Williamson County within Sun City provide residents with “satellite” activity centers located within the community as well. They each have dance studios, aerobics and pools as well as other facilities that are enjoyed by residents.
